This delightful "baby Chateauneuf Blanc" Cotes-du-Rhone Villages white is a comforting blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Viogner, and equal parts Roussanne and Marsanne sourced from 25 year old vines planted in sandy clay and limestone soils. The Autran family farms all their vineyards organically with hand harvesting, destemming and barrique fermentation using only natural yeasts. Aged on the lees for 12 months with extensive batonnage to provide layers of complexity and a soft, creamy texture. Only 1500 cases made!
Delicate and conforting, the Sablet Blanc will go well with Spring pies (asparagus and goat cheese), or a sute of poulty with mushroom cream. In winter, the Sablet Blanc will refresh your taste buds with a stew of foie gras from the Landes region. Also, out white wine can easiily be enjoyed during your aperitif.
