Armagnac is a barrel-aged grape brandy similar to Cognac. It is produced in a landlocked region, south west of Bordeaux, in the heart of Gascogny. Typically described as more rustic than cognac, it is distinguished by its fuller aroma and flavor with a rounder texture.
