Cognac

Cognac is among the best known and most highly regarded of brandies. It is distilled from grape wine and can only produced in a delimited region located in the south west of France, just to the north of Bordeaux. It must be produced via pot still distillation in two batches and must age for a minimum of 2 years in oak.
