Jean-Gabriel Tridon's vineyards are in the Côtes de Grandlieu section of of the Muscadet appellation, between the city of Nantes and the Atlantic coast. His Muscadets are excellent and also a serious value, but he may be even more well known now for his incredibly affordable and fun reds. So north and near to the sea, these are light and refreshing reds, farmed organically and fermented spontaneously. The "Hého" is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Grolleau Noir, and Gamay, unoaked, with low alcohol and very little tannin, it's highly aromatic and juicy. Very dry, but very fruity, designed to be a simple wine for simple food but the vibrancy and purity of flavor here is fantastic. -- James
